The entire weight of the head is carried away by your neck and the upper back muscles.
Our daily activities put up stress on the main areas like:
- tissues
- tendons
- ligaments,
- Muscles of the neck.
A long periods of sitting and working on a computer, long hours spent behind the driving wheel, bad posture, incorrect sleeping positions, and stress, all put a lot of pressure on the neck muscles. The muscles contract and tighten which directly resulting into the pain.
Neck Massage Tips
- Place yourself firmly at your partner's head, while they are lying on their back
- Cradle your head in one hand and turn it slightly toward the right than to the left slowly
- Make small circles along with your back of the neck to release tension, and then continue down the side of the neck to the chest
- Turn the head back to the center position with your both the hands supporting the head under the neck, and pull gently to stretch out the neck muscles.
- Turn the head firmly on the opposite side and repeat the sequence for the other shoulder. Return the head to the center and pull gently.
